Why Should I Attend the Men’s Cross Training Sessions?

Men - lead in prayer, take your families to Mass, and protect your home's spiritual environment

Society today is full of examples of men not living up to God’s design.  It’s time to start changing that be becoming the men God calls us to be.  Men must first address the needs of their spiritual life by seeking their Father in Heaven.  Then they can address the needs of their families by utilizing God’s wisdom available to them through the lives of the saints and other transcendent men.  Men need to humbly seek this wisdom as they raise their children and love their wives.  For young men who have not yet been called to a vocation, they need to pray for their bride, whether that be his future wife or the Church.  Every man needs to understand the immeasurable benefits of being a part of a community of men practicing their Catholic faith.

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (Matthew 18:20)

  • Come and join with other men who are trying to be better men, husbands and fathers.  Come and listen to another man like you who gets up every morning and goes to work in order to provide for his family.  Listen how he shares about a time in his life when he wasn’t living his role as a man, husband or father that God is calling him to live.  Listen to him tell you what his life was like before and after he made changes to become a man of God.

  • Come and see how to become a better man, husband and father. Come to learn how to lead your wife and family to heaven; to live the life God is calling you to live.

  • Come and see how striving to be a better leader - to live out a self-sacrificial life for God and family - brings joy and happiness you may not have experienced and that’s what God wants for you.

  • Come grow in knowledge of the teachings of Jesus and His Church.

  • Come and be with other men who are trying to be better men, husbands and fathers. You’ll be with other men who struggle with the same things you struggle with and you’ll know you aren’t alone.  You have other men to lean on when you need help and you’ll be there for them when they need help.

  • Come and hear a man’s personal story of a time in his life when he discovered God was calling him to more.  Hear what happened in his life, what changes he made and how his life is different since he made those changes.

  • Spend one hour with other men learning how to become a better man, husband and father.  Listen to witness talk, discuss how you can benefit from the story and make a commitment to do better striving to live like a man of God.

  • Why attend Men’s Cross Training practices?  The short answer is “Why not attend?” We are constantly hearing that it’s time for men to step up and be the spiritual leaders in our homes. Come out and spend a little time with a group of men that are facing the same issues that you are. We all have the same goal - getting our family to Heaven.

  • It is vital for men to hear real life experiences and be in a group setting where other men are sharing their faith.   Very few males ask for help or admit they are struggling.  In these practices, many will hear stories of similar experiences and also hear how others handled it.    This is a great example of Proverbs 27:17. “Iron Sharpens Iron, so one person sharpens another.”

  • Go for the children who need and deserve a Godly man in their lives.  All men need help remembering who I was created to be.

  • Ask the question, ”if not me then who?”  If men are not willing and able to face the distractions and adversity in our current situation, then who is there to assist with the growth of the Church?  Who is willing to be held accountable for the Spiritual Growth of your Family, Friends and Church?  ACTS 2:42-47
